Ugly - Margaret McHeyzer

I was given an ARC in exchange of a honest review.
I just could not stand this book. It's awful.
It starts when Lily is 17 years old. She´s a senior and her father treats her poorly. He beats, starves her and belittle her. He calls her stupid and ugly all the time.
Then Trents comes along, he´s a senior in a private school, and he pursues her, until she falls in his web, like the ugly, fat spider that he is.
Lily goes living with him, and his parents, but the things there does not look much better.
They´re clearly a dysfunctional family.
The books annoyed the hell out of me. I just couldn't go through beyond 50%. I tried really hard. But sometimes, I agreed with the aggressors, Lily was to stupid. God, Trent lies to her through his teeths. He cheat on her, he treats her really bad, he steal all her money. 80 thousand dollars and she can´t even have a new shoe. She´s a doormat, My god, I´m so angry and annoyed with this character that I don´t have words enough to say how much it disgusted me.

Eu simplesmente, não pude terminar esse livro. É horrível.
Começa quando Lily tem 17 anos e está no último ano do ensino médio. O pai dela a trata muito mal. Ele bate nela, deixa-a com fome, a mesnospreza. Ele a chama de estúpida e feia o tempo todo.
Então, aparece o Trent, ele tb tá no últimmo ano do colégio, mas estuda em uma escola particular. Ele a persegue até que ela caia em sua teia, como a aranha feia e gorda que ele é.
Lily vai viver com Trent e os pais dele. mas as coisas lá não parecem muito melhores. Eles são, claramente, tão disfuncionais quanto ela e o pai dela.
Esse livro me chateou muito. Eu não consegui passar de 50%. E eu tentei bastante. Mas, algumas vezes eu chegava a concordar com os agressores, a Lily émuito estúpida. Deus, Trent mente pra ela o tempo todo. Ele a trai,a trata mal, rouba o dinheiro todo dela, 80 mil dólares e ela não pode nem comprar um sapato novo. Ela é um tapete que ele pisa e limpa os pés em cima.. Deus, eu to com tanta raiva e tão chateada com essa personagem que eu não tenho palavras o suficiente pra dizer como tudo isso me desgostou.
