Ryan´s bed by Tijan

I crawled into Ryan Jensen’s bed that first night by accident.

We all have favorite authors, and Tijan it´s one of mine.

This book was quite a surprise, not because of the characters development, since her characters do not usually diverge, but because of the subject matter.

Mackennzie´s twin sister killed herself, and all the story evolves form that point on.

Imagine how hard it is to cope with a loved one´s death, so imagine this loved one was your twin and she killed herfself. 

Can you endure the aftermath of this act? Knowing that you didn´t recognized the signs, that it was your twin, your closest person in the world and you was blind to see the darkness in her.

That´s what Mackenzie had to go through, and besides all her pain and guilt, she have to deal with parents, family and friends who can´t stand to look at her, because all they see it´s the ghost of her sister.

In this enviroment she grows attached to Ryan. He´s the only she can stand being close to, and they start a unhealthy relationshio where she turns dependent on him to just go from day to day.

That´s a recipe for disater. but Ryan understand what she´s going through, since he lost his best friend a little while ago, and it is just now, coming back to life.


And that is how they start a beautiful journey to heal each other.

Mackenzie grows as a individual, she learns how to deal with her family matters on her own, and how to cope with her sister´s suicide.

We can note all through the story how Mackenzie sees herself, and that´s a key point to the story.


Though some characters development could have been better, it was a good book.

Este livro foi uma surpresa, não por causa do desenvolvimento dos personagens, já que seus personagens geralmente não divergem em comportamento, mas por causa do assunto.



A irmã gêmea de Mackennzie se matou, e toda a história evolui a partir deste ponto.



Imagine o quão difícil é lidar com a morte de um ente querido, então imagine que esse ente querido é a sua irmã gêmea e ela se matou.



Você pode suportar as conseqüências desse ato? Sabendo que você não reconheceu os sinais, que era sua gêmea, a pessoa mais próxima de você em todo o mundo e você estava cega para a escuridão que habitava nela.



Isso é o que Mackenzie teve que passar, e além de toda a sua dor e culpa, ela tem que lidar com pais, familiares e amigos que não conseguem olhar para ela, porque tudo o que eles vêem é o fantasma de sua irmã .



Neste ambiente, ela se torna próxima de Ryan. Ele é o único que ela consegue ficar perto, e eles começam a desenvolver uma relação pouco saudável, onde ela se torna dependente dele até para viver o dia a dia.



Essa é uma receita para o desastre. mas Ryan entende tudo pelo que Mackenzie está passando, já que ele perdeu o seu melhor amigo há pouco tempo, e só agora está recomeçando à viver.





E é assim que eles começam essa de cura e auto conhecimento.



Mackenzie cresce como um indivíduo, ela aprende como lidar com sua família por conta própria e como lidar com o suicídio de sua irmã.



Podemos observar durante o decorrer da estória como Mackenzie se vê, e esse é um ponto chave para a história.




Embora o desenvolvimento dos personagens pudesse ter sido melhor, foi um bom livro.
