Three (Love by Numbers #3) by E.S. Carter

I was given an ARC in exchange of an honest review.

I am a son.
I am a brother.
I am an artist.
I am a student.
I am her student.

She was my first.
First infatuation, first ‘real’ kiss, first love, first.....
heartbreak.

I gave her everything, including my body and would have given her more.
I gave her ‘I love you’ ….she told me her heart was filled by another, there was no room left for me.

We could never be.
What we did was wrong.
It didn’t feel wrong to me.

The deepest hurt is a love that you cannot have. It will last the longest, cut the deepest and feel the strongest.
It is an imperfect love; a disfigured circle that never ends.
You cannot control it; it's as simple as blinking and just like blinking the more you try to stop it, the more the pain consumes you.

This is book 3 in 'The Love by Numbers' series.
Although it contains characters from the previous books, it can be read as a standalone.

In the end of this book the author made a special dedication and the first phrase is: "This book is, quite simply, about love". And she´s right on target, it is quite simply, about love. Love in the purest form, the love of a parent for a child with special needs and the love of a special kind of man who has such a giving and warming and ginormous heart that he fell in love not only with the carer of this special child but with the kid as well. It requires a different brand of man to this.

I loved this book so much. Its beyond perfection, you can feel the love they felt for each other pouring off of it. I didn´t read the books prior to this one, but I´m certainly anxious to read them, I fell in love with Jake and Emma (MC of books one and two of the series) reading about them in Three, I can´t even think what I feel when I´ll read their story.
